ZENESCOPE PARTNERS WITH FORMER MARVEL PRESIDENT/CREATOR BILL JEMAS TO SAY “WAKE THE F#CK UP”

Zenescope Entertainment, one of the top comic book and graphic novel publishing companies in the world, has announced plans to release Wake the F#ck Up, an all-new comic book that is scheduled for an October release date. Wake the F#ck Up is written by former Marvel Comics President Creator Bill Jemas.

In 2011, Go the F*ck to Sleep, hit #1 on Amazon’s best seller list – speaking to sleepy parents desperate to put their toddlers to bed.  In 2012, Wake the F#ck Up, bangs the funny bones of parents dying to get their teens out of bed and out the door.

Wake the F#ck Up starts as a storybook parody of best-seller Go the Fuck to Sleep.  In lyrical tones, parents encourage their kids to get out of bed and out the door, to put down their games and pick up their books. But after years of blank, sleepy stares and passive aggressive sloth, the parents explode into expletives and kick their 20-somethings out the door. Then, Wake the F#ck Up transforms into a comic book in which the next generation takes over, as we see the same story from their point of view.

“When the comics were in a deep hole, Bill helped restart the industry by focusing Marvel Comics on the teen audience.  I’m personally a huge fan of the work he did at Marvel,” said Zenescope President Joe Brusha.Wake the Fu#k up is like nothing I’ve seen in comics before, in a very good way. We expect it to be a ground breaking book and think it will be a big hit not only with comic book readers but with an even wider audience.”

Bill Jemas was the architect Ultimate Spider-Man and Origin of Wolverine, two of the bestselling graphic novels in history.

This story is beautifully-illustrated by Dzialowski and Cyril Saint-blancat, a talented team of up-and-coming French artists handpicked by Jemas.  Printed with high-gloss covers on high quality stock, this prestige comic collectible is a great gift for parents of teens, for teens of parents, and for every comic fan.
