Why, Helllllllo Harley!!!

& SUPERGIRL’S GAME-CHANGING CROSSOVER STORYLINE CONTINUES!

Ah, Krypton… Maybe it was a nice place to visit, but if you’re a human, you probably wouldn’t want to live there. And you definitely don’t want it returning and destroying all things we hold dear. Unfortunately, that’s more or less what’s happening this month in the Superman family of comics.

This week’s SUPERGIRL #25 happens to be the third part of the game-changing “Krypton Returns,” a four-issue crossover storyline that began in last month’s ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #2, continued in last week’s SUPERBOY #25 and will conclude next week in the pages of SUPERMAN #25. What threat could be so massive that it requires the combined might of Superman, Superboy and Supergirl to confront it? Why, H’El of course. And as faithful readers know, Kara Zor-El has a bit of a history with the faux Kryptonian villain. Though judging from Kenneth Rocafort’s cover illustration, it appears that Supergirl’s looking for some hard-hitting payback.

But if you like your women a bit wilder and a lot more clinically insane, may we suggest you check out the first issue of Verigo’s brand new Harley Quinn ongoing series?

Written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, and featuring art by a who’s who of amazing artists (Darwyn Cooke, Sam Kieth, Bruce Timm, Jim Lee, Walt Simonson, Becky Cloonan…and that’s just to start), HARLEY QUINN #0 is a hilarious, fourth-wall breaking intro to Quinn’s series proper that sets our antiheroine on an exciting new path and sets up the first issue of her comic. You won’t want to miss it!

[To clarify, the script has Harley breaking the fourth wall and interacting with both writers. The green text boxes represent Conner’s voice, while the blue boxes represent Palmiotti’s (shown in the preview above).]
