Harley’s Little Black Book #1 is an excuse for Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti to create a silly team-up that is as fun as a Marvel comic book (there, I said it; let the comic book fanboys fall where they may).

In Harley’s Little Black Book #1 Joker’s former co-dependent now has a gang of misfits and is attempting to embrace the light side of the superhero force. But sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. The gang break up a group trafficking toxic chemicals in a decidedly most un-Batman-like manner.

Harley’s Little Black Book #1 also introduces the London Legion of Superheroes, which is kind of DC’s version of the Great Lakes Avengers. The roster of silliness includes the Pub Crawler, Double Decker, Big Bad Ben, and Tiffany Terror, who says she is not named Debbie Dumpling for good reason. Spiffing stuff, don’t you know? What, what!!!

Connor’s artwork as usual is as whimsical as her prose. The images of adult Harley dressed in Diana’s actual costume (which won’t stay up without duct tape) should not be missed.

Harley’s Little Black Book #1 should get your motor running….head up on the highway, looking for adventure…….
