Is it probably just me but in John Carter Warlord of Mars #14, are Princess Dejah’s nipple covers getting smaller with each passing issue? Since these anatomically suspect features are a prominent on every John Carter Warlord of Mars cover you kind of have to wonder if there isn’t a slight air of desperation about this whole thing, so desperate are Dynamite Comics to grab your attention and the passing attention of every pimple faced boy.

The inside pages of John Carter Warlord of Mars #14 support this theory to some degree with a palatable but not pulse-racing tale of a thwarted homecoming. Returning to Helium, John Carter and his sparsely covered wife find the city deserted. All is not as it appears and only a bold, desperate move by the Jeddak and his missus reveals the truth and puts John Carter in even more danger.

But fear not, nervous reader, in John Carter Warlord of Mars #14 all ends happily and we can look forward to next issue’s cover with bated breath.
