In B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth #141, Ashley Strode is an Exorcist, which could explain why she is the only one brave enough or dumb enough to go near a house that couldn’t look more evil if it had horns and a tail. The fact that dozens of local kids have gone missing in the vicinity of that same house over the years might say a lot for the sadly lacking educational standards in this rural community.

Still, if you didn’t have dumb kids, we wouldn’t have a story and a real nerve jangler it is too in B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth #141. The pace in B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth #141 is slowed to a crawl but that’s just so you can feel the terror seep into your bones. This is an evil that has festered over many years, born out of the most dysfunctional of family situations, and you’ll get goosebumps aplenty as Ashley delves deeper into the bowels of the house and finds myriad souvenirs left behind by previous victims.

For B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth #141, the dénouement comes when it seems almost too easy but watch out for the sting in the tail leading to a cliff-hanger ending. It seems the house is not done with Ashley yet.

B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth #141 is a finely crafted work of modern horror from acknowledged masters of their arcane craft. Buy it, enjoy it and keep a light on at night, you know it makes sense.
