Harrow County #12

Estate agents aren’t usually typical villain fodder, but in this tale of deep south sorcery those crafty property providers have saddled a nice family with the sitting tenant from hell in Harrow County #12 Literally.

All of which prompts Emmy to return to her childhood town of Creech’s Crossing for Harrow County #12, to try and save the children of the house from being abducted by evil spirits. All, however, is not as it seems in Harrow County #12 and Emmy finds herself facing an enemy unlike any she has encountered before. Can she save the day? Can she stop property values from plummeting?

Ah, that would be telling. There is perhaps less texture here than in Cullen Bunn’s previous exemplary efforts and Hannah Christenson’s art is a little basic for my taste and doesn’t do the narrative quite the complete justice it deserves. But when all is said and done there is enough creepiness in Harrow County #12 to keep you up at nights. And if you are about to move into a new house, be sure to check the small print first. Those estate agents can be tricky.
