Grand Passion #2 Dynamite

Grand Passion #2 is an X-rated (remember those days? 18 Cert just isn’t the same) tale of cops and robbers. Fans of the TV series Banshee will love this! Cop killing Bonnie and Clyde wannabe’s Mabel and Steve have just pulled off their latest heist. Things didn’t turn out so well for Steve, he got shot in the head by Deputy Sheriff “Mac” McNamara, a man with “deep, sad eyes”. Leaving Mabel to demonstrate her love of money in Grand Passion #2’s opening sequence, giving a whole new meaning to the term “graphic art”!

Add in the customary fishy goings-on in the Sheriff’s office, in Grand Passion #2 and an unexpected problem with the bank haul, a safe house that turns out not to be safe at all (a problem Mabel solves with an act of violence which good manners prevent me from going into in detail here!) and the underlying mystery of those “deep, sad eyes” which Mabel finds so fascinating and, Grand Passion #2, you have a classic tale of two loners from opposite sides of the law set on a collision course likely to blow them both apart, not to mention anyone and everything standing in the blast radius.

Gritty, noir storytelling from James Robinson with nary a cape in sight looks set to make Grand Passion #2 one of the most compulsive reads of the year.
