Put simply, the 48 page 2000 AD SCI-FI SPECIAL is hard to resist. From the Greg Staples cover to the last, self-contained story, every page gives the best of its characters and the best of its artwork. Is this hype talking? No. It is a fact.

2000 AD SCI-FI SPECIAL brings classic favorites, Ace Trucking Company, Rogue Trooper, Future Shocks and Robo-Hunter, and adding into the mix newbies Survival Geeks. But, of course, leading with every one’s warm-hearted but stony-faced upholder of justice, Judge Dredd.

And the old guard of 2000 AD creators are doing the business in 2000 AD SCI-FI SPECIAL too. John Higgins, Neil Googe and Gordon Rennie unleash their combined experience in their usual, highly creative, standard. There is no sense of these pros giving less than their very best. So, along with new kids on the 2000 AD block Mike Carroll, Guy Adams, Emma Beeby, Alec Worley and Mark Simmons, make 2000 AD SCI-FI SPECIAL something of a feast for the eyes and the mind.

Stand out story has to be Survival Geeks: Movie Night by writing team Rennie and Beeby and artists Google, as a welcome and thought-provoking story, coming every much out of the left field, which is not a criticism but praise. Nothing against the rest of the stories in 2000 AD SCI-FI, just the unfamiliar and the unknown concepts of Survival Geeks: Movie Night will hit you right between the eyes. Survival Geeks is slated to return in 2000 AD in 2016 and I, for one, cannot wait for that!

If, for some misguided reason, half a reason, a half-baked reason, you may have, for not buying 2000 AD SCI-FI SPECIAL, I have only this to say to you: You are wrong.

Buy and, bask in that feeling you may recall as enjoyment.
