Extraordinary X-Men #4 Marvel Comics
Extraordinary X-Men #4 Marvel Comics

You know it’s tough being a Marvel mutant these days; still hated and feared by the general public, and now Inhuman Terrigen Mists released worldwide are slowly poisoning mutants everywhere. But help is at hand in the shape of Storm, who creates yet another haven for mutants, called X-Haven. However, in Extraordinary X-Men #4, X-Haven is under attack. So, all in all, it is not a good day to be a mutant. And if that was not enough…….

Meanwhile big baddie Mr. Sinister has kidnapped Colossus, his sister Magik and Nightcrawler. Sinister claims to have a plan to negate the effects of the mists on mutants to create “homo superior superior” and needs guinea pigs. To the rescue come the X-Men, including Old Man Logan and Jean Grey.

Humberto Ramos’ delightfully stylistic art has matured over the last few years. With the help of inker Victor Olazaba the lines are neater and tighter. Colorist Edgar Delgado dynamically contrasts light and dark tones throughout Extraordinary X-Men #4.

If action is your bag then Extraordinary X-Men #4 is packed and full of snarky dialogue. We’re hoping Storm’s battle cry “X-Men…kick their asses!” catches on. And the surprise reveal guarantees we’ll keep reading.
