Mystery Girl #2 Dark Horse Comics
Mystery Girl #2
Dark Horse Comics

The UK based adventures of Trine Hampstead, London’s premier sidewalk detective (shouldn’t that be ‘pavement detective’ old boy? If only these Americans would learn to speak proper like what we does).

Unlike most detectives, in Mystery Girl #2 Trine knows all the answers right at the start except she doesn’t know how she knows them. Attentive readers could hazard a guess that Trine is some sort of telepathic precog, but why spoil the fun? Trine’s stripper friend Sasha is enjoying some rough sex with the arrogant Linford, which is a good excuse for some nude artwork. Meanwhile, Trine prepares to go to Russia on the hunt for frozen mammoths.

Complicated enough for you yet? Mystery Girl #2 is original and fun and the inherent mystery concerning Trine’s abilities should provide an overreaching story arc designed to keep the reader’s attention for many issues to come. That and what the heck will she do with the mammoths when she finds them?

And if you’re thinking of dating Trine be sure your intentions are honourable because this girl shoots first and doesn’t even bother with the questions because she already knows the answers. And there is the mystery in Mystery Girl #2.
