Arcane Acre alumni, Jasmine and Mary Medina aka Mystere, the slashed leather and bones wearing cover star of Grimm Fairy Tales: Dance Of The Dead #2 who has the power to call up the dead, are trapped in The Shadowlands, possibly the most evil place on any Earth you care to mention.

Uneasy allies form in Grimm Fairy Tales: Dance Of The Dead #2, Jasmine and Mystere definitely fall into the ‘powerful women’ category as the eye candy duo with the big sword and the skull mask respectively, hack, slash and burn their way through anything that comes their way as they try to get back home. Their only way out of The Shadowlands seems to be through a, possibly, dormant volcano, but to get to that, they have to get past evil wizard Gruel’s newest ally, The Snow Queen.

If Grimm Fairy Tales: Dance Of The Dead #2 is part of the hero’s journey, then getting there is all the fun, but close encounters of the even more evil kind are just around the corner and if there is an element of backstory exposition in Grimm Fairy Tales: Dance Of The Dead #2 it can be forgiven because now that we know all we need to know the real thrill ride can begin.
