Myriad graphic novelists assemble to celebrate publisher’s first London Film and Comic Con

3 GRAPHIC NOVELISTS TO MAN BRIGHTON-BASED PUBLISHER’S STAND AT EVENT

THREE graphic novelists are set to appear at the winter edition of the London Film and Comic Con courtesy of their publisher, which has a presence at the Showmasters event for the first time.

Sponsored by Myriad Editions, Darryl Cunningham, Hannah Eaton and Aneurin ‘Nye’ Wright will be manning their Brighton-based publisher’s stand at Olympia over the weekend of October 5-6. The writer/artists will each be sketching as well as talking about their careers and will be signing copies of their latest Myriad titles:

Cunningham’s current offering is an updated edition of his 2012 title, Science Tales. Subtitled Lies, Hoaxes and Scams, the 176-page hardcover was heralded as a graphic milestone of investigative reporting by Myriad. The new version has been expanded by the author with a 32-page chapter on the fracking debate.

Described by Myriad as an adult version of Where the Wild Things Are, Eaton’s Naming Monsters is a wild 176-page sexually explicit ride around a 1993 London where the protagonist encounters menageries that could be real or imagined.

A 320-page semi-autobiographical tale of love and loss, Wright’s Things to do in a Retirement Home Trailer Park: When you’re 29 and Unemployed… chronicles the author’s life as he assumes the role of carer for his dying father amidst a world full of both men and beasts.
