‘CAPTAIN MARVEL’S’ Filipe Andrade to Illustrate Special ‘SUICIDE RISK’ Issue

TEAMS UP WITH WRITER MIKE CAREY

At BOOM! Studios, they love inviting varied industry professionals to play in their creative sandbox, from Ed Brisson (Sheltered) writing an arc for SONS OF ANARCHY to Jim Rugg (Afrodisiac) illustrating a story arc for ADVENTURE TIME. They’ve had guest artists Joëlle Jones (Ultimate Spider-Man, Helheim) and Jorge Coehlo (POLARITY, Venom) tackle the world of SUICIDE RISK, and this June, they’re pleased to have artist Filipe Andrade (Captain Marvel) join their ranks as he teams up with writer Mike Carey on a special stand-alone issue of SUICIDE RISK!

In issue #14, the tension is building, and with Leo Winters’ true past revealed, it’s time to explore the origins of two of his closest, most fearsome allies: sisters Diva and Aisa!

“Filipe is one of those artists who has broken the mold, creating a unique, super-stylized look that explodes off the page,” said BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon. “We’re thrilled to have him draw a stand-alone story in SUICIDE RISK and help us broaden the mythology of Mike’s epic tale.”

SUICIDE RISK is an ongoing series about a world in which humanity is being overrun by a rise in the number of supervillains, and beat cops like Leo Winters are powerless to stop them. The only way he can get out from becoming a “suicide risk” is to change the rules of the game…

SUICIDE RISK #14, a stand-alone issue, goes on sale in comic shops on June 4th under Diamond Order Code APR140978 with a cover by Stephanie Hans for a price of $3.99. Not sure where to find your nearest comic retailer? Use comicshoplocator.com or findacomicshop.com to find one!
