Lauren Shuler Donner has confirmed that Channing Tatum is set to play X-Men character Remy Lebeau, AKA Gambit, stating “It is Channing… Yes.”

Her statement, announced at the “X-Men X-Perience Global Tour” London premiere of X-Men: Days of Future Past, confirms the rumours that have been flying about since last month.

The plan is for Tatum to be introduced in X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
