Bad Robot, JJ Abrams production company, and Paramount Pictures have released the new trailer for The Cellar only it’s not, it’s 10 Cloverfield Lane the long-awaited sequel to 2008’s Cloverfield.

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg best known for his work on the short Portal: No Escape and starring John Goodman (The Big Lebowski), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and John Gallagher Jr. (Jonah Hex).

The film is not a direct sequel to Cloverfield but a “a blood relative of Cloverfield” according to Abrams.

All we know about the feature is that a woman, played by Winstead, is being held in a cellar by Goodman after a supposed nuclear fall-out. We’re blind on it’s connection to the first movie but fans of the original are sure to be intrigued by the mystery surrounding the events at 10 Cloverfield Lane.
