If you are arriving a little late to The Death-Defying Doctor Mirage: Second Lives #4 of 4 here is a brief re-cap.
Shan Fong-Mirage sees ghosts. Pretty neat trick since her husband, Hwen Mirage, is one, ever since he died stopping an evil cult. Most people would see this as a creepy obstacle to any future love live Shan might want but would try to get on with their lives all the same. Shan is made of sterner stuff however and, in The Death-Defying Doctor Mirage: Second Lives #4 of 4, decides she wants hubby back in the realm of the living even if it means adopting the most long-winded superhero handle of all time, invading the supernatural reality housed inside a mystic scroll and going up against the ghost of an evil sorcerer, Denis De Walt.
Taking us through the ingredients of the spell that’s meant to accomplish her fondest dream like some spooky Mary Berry, The Death-Defying Doctor Mirage has more close encounters of the ghostly kind than you can shake a stick at but will she be successful?
As this is the final issue of The Death-Defying Doctor Mirage: Second Lives #4 of 4, I won’t reveal the ending, but let’s just say the word ‘cliffhanger’ manages to work its way in there somewhere. If magic is your thing it would be worth tracking down the previous three issues and reading the whole set in one go.
