If the lousy summer weather is making think longingly of roasting chestnuts on an open fire, spare a thought for the poor folk of Grimsvig in Klaus #6.

The evil Baron Magnus is forcing the miners to work until they drop and fattening up the children of the village for a festive tradition that has nothing to do with turkey and stuffing. Their only hope is a grim-faced barbarian called Klaus and his white wolf ally, Lilli, but in Klaus #6, neither of them look to be in any fit state to spread yuletide cheer. Can a visit from the King make Baron Magnus undergo a Scrooge-like conversion and see the error of his ways? Much the plot point for Klaus #6.

For Klaus #6 Grant Morrison is at his Christmas elvish best titillating us with a barbarian/Miracle on 34th Street mash-up. And Dan Mora’s art is a welcome gift any time of the year. Can’t wait to see how Klaus #6 ends.
