Suave super-spy come super-hero, Colin King aka Ninjak has contracted a deadly virus in the otherworldly plane known as Deadside, but, in Ninjak #19 (The Fist & The Steel part 2) we nip conveniently into the future a few decades to see thatNinjak is still around even though he does have a bit of a headache. Whew! They had me worried there for a minute.

Teaming up with Valiant’s other veteran hero, the Eternal Warrior, to track down Ninjak’s old foe Fakir, the pair fearlessly jump into a strange portal and find themselves in a futuristic Las Vegas where, it seems, even a man in purple body armor with two crossed swords on his back can “blend in”. Only in Vegas!

Lots of fisticuffs follow as Ninjak and the Eternal Warrior visit the most unlikely real estate office ever before they finally confront the truly gruesome puppet master behind all this.

The backup feature switches back to the present day where Ninjak is still trying to find a cure for what ails him but since we know the outcome it’s kind of redundant. The main story in Ninjak #19  (The Fist & The Steel – Part 2) however powers along on all cylinders with more than a touch of surreal to help things along.

Ninjak #19 (The Fist & The Steel – Part 2) is a vibrant mix from Matt Kindt and Khari Evans that won’t disappoint even the most jaded reader.
