To start off, I really dig the noir-esque tone of The Fuse #23. The colours are subtle and the pages use harsh shadows to a visual advantage, rendering some panels truly intense.

The Fuse #23 has a lot of backstory and concentrated plot; you learn more about the character’s past – with some action scenes thrown in – to keep you engaged. However, there’s not a lot of said action in The Fuse #23  – it’s mostly dialogue. Which isn’t a bad thing, but for readers who are more into action-heavy stories, I’d only recommend if you’re also a lover of in-depth story and character development.

The writing from Antony Johnston is great and leaves this reader wanting more by the last page. The Fuse #23 is one I’d say buy it now!
