Since his “birth” in 1944, (it happened in England so he counts as a Brit, yay!), Hellboy has been raised by the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Following his first mission for the Bureau in 1952, Hellboy was granted honorary human status by the United Nations.

But now, in Hellboy and the B.P.R.D 1953 #2, our big red honorary human goes up against a big nasty who is terrorizing suburbia. Looking like a giant greyhound with long hair and glowing eyes, our canine bad guy takes a chunk out of Hellboy before beating a hasty retreat.

Tracking this supernatural Scooby Doo to an old abandoned barn, the B.P.R.D think they have it cornered, and that’s when their troubles really start in Hellboy and the B.P.R.D 1953 #2. And just who or what is the mysterious Miss Fox doing as a substitute teacher at the local school?

Things can only get more mysterious in Hellboy and the B.P.R.D 1953 #2 as Hellboy and his crew boldly go with the usual amount of humour, action and gore. Mike Mignola and Chris Robertson are past masters at this particular type of monster mash and Paolo Rivera’s art sets off the action perfectly.

Fun then for everyone. Even those ‘working in the lab late one night….’
