You really wouldn’t want to be Jezebel Felina. Why? Because the chapter title for Hellchild TheUnholy #4 is Die, Jezebel Felina, and Hellchild has a pretty darn good track record in the offing of people she doesn’t like stakes.
Add to that the fact Hellchild, (Angelica to her friends, but I’m guessing not many people get to call her that!) is already in a bad mood having failed to stop homicidal maniac Kevin Nestor (really? A homicidal maniac called Kevin?) from manifesting the spirit of a reptilian god within his flesh. Now, in Hellchild The Unholy #4, he’s walking around shedding scales, calling himself Ouroboros (at least you can pronounce Kevin, but whatever) and planning to unite the supernatural community of New York against humanity.
Face it, that’s enough to make anyone peeved. As Hellchild and Ouroboros go at it fang and claw, the monster who was Kevin makes Hellchild an offer he hopes she can;t refuse. As both a monster and a god, why doesn’t Hellchild side with him in his quest and rule over humanity at his side? As a sweetener, he even tells her who Jezebel Felina really is. It’s very rude to talk about a lady’s age, but let’s just say she’s a lot older than she looks and managed to get on the wrong side of a lot of elder gods along the way.
As Ouroboros and his monster crew confront New York’s finest in one unholy bloodbath, Hellchild makes her decision about that offer of his. Or does she? All will be revealed in the next issue of Hellchild TheUnholy which sees the end of this particular story arc, but not, I’m sure, the end of the saga. One of the best modern horror comic you are likely to find anywhere.
