MARVEL WHETS FANS’ LONGING WITH A SHIELD IN NEED OF SOME PAINT

With the first look at Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier now revealed, both Marvel and Captain America fans alike have something to keep them going until the film is released.

From the looks of the image itself, it would appear that Steve Rogers will be pushed to the max, with visible damage and scuffs on the infamous shield.  The well-known and defining reds, whites and blues are lacking; the iconic gear of a superhero smashed.  While a great idea, it’s already been done by both The Dark Knight Rises and Iron Man 3; the image of a broken bat cowl, along with Tony Stark’s damaged Iron Man suit plunging to the ground have both depicted the same ideology.

The upcoming sequel hits theatres on April 4, 2014.  Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson.
