Fans of a certain paranoid android will enjoy this issue’s focus on robot Mech Major, who wants to be called Sunlight on Snow, talks to plants and tries to find his true identity. As he has all the best lines, more compassion and a better sense of humour than his human companions, you may well wish him success in his search. If you have a low tolerance for techno-speak and soul searching philosophy you may find this hard going as Harada interrogates the Rising Spirit turncoat Gravedog and Doug Braithwaite’s artwork can’t quite make up for this lace of pace.
