In Negative Space #4 Guy is just about the most depressed and depressing character this side of Marvin the Paranoid Android, but he may be the world’s last chance at survival against the evil Evorah, an ancient race which has decided it’s time to come out of the shadows and flex their tentacles.

The Evorah look like a cross between a jellyfish and, well, who knows what, but they are the long-standing villains who want to take over the world and basically slaughter everyone in sight, which is about what you might expect from a fiendish  jellyfish thingy and little else for that matter.

Kindred Corp has been studying the Evorah for years and now wants to wage something called ‘emotional warfare’ to end their threat to mankind once and for all, as opposed to the non-emotional kind I guess where everyone dies but no-one gets upset about it!

For Negative Space #4 Guy is the ideal candidate to wage this war from inside something called an emotional echo chamber where he basically sits and wallows in self-pity; something he simply excels at.

Negative Space #4 is one strange comic book containing one strange hero but the very strangeness is oddly compelling. Just don’t expect many laughs and keep Negative Space #4 away from your emo friends. Or not.
